The principal purposes of the BCNY are to provide a forum for any professional man or woman engaged in the financial services industry and a venue for the discussion of ideas vital to our industry and to the U.S. and global economies. The BCNY provides a convivial atmosphere for making and sustaining friendships and business associations. Its membership rolls are open to any professional engaged in the financial services business with the purpose of promoting a business and social dialogue among the members who share common professional interests.
We host a number of events throughout the year, to which we invite prominent speakers from the business and investment world, as well as elected officials, noted authors and personalities in the news.
The Bond Club has also been committed to furthering education on the free enterprise system and the capital formation process. We accomplished that through our support of the SIFMA Foundations for Investor Education, and, our involvement in the Stock Market Game, an educational program that more than 10 million students have participated in since its founding.
In addition, our Club’s standing committees sponsor educational events, roundtables, and seminars to provide our members a forum to discuss the topics of the day. These have included economic, market, legal, regulatory, accounting, and many other areas of interest.
The Club’s annual Field Day outing is held today as it was in 1921 at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club near Tarrytown, NY and has become a much-anticipated event for the entire financial community.
